Michel “HOSS” Bertrand is a world-renowned Canadian auctioneer whose career has been defined by passion, precision, and a trailblazing spirit. In 1998, just five years into his auctioneering career, he won both the World All-Round Auctioneer Championship and the Canadian All-Round Auctioneer Championship — a remarkable feat never before achieved so early in the profession.

A graduate of both the Institute of Canadian Certified Auctioneers (ICCA) and the Certified Personal Property Appraisers Guild of Canada (CPPAG), Hoss brings unmatched credibility to every sale. He launched Hoss’s Auctioneering Service in Ottawa, where he became known for his high-energy, bilingual auctions.

Over the years, Hoss has lent his iconic voice and talents to high-profile auctions across the globe, including as a guest auctioneer the European Canadian Club in Brussels, and the First ever professional Nunavut Sivuniksavut fundraiser Auction in Iqaluit. His resume includes everything from benefit, Non profit, galas, Golf tournaments, special profit organisations, Minor Hockey association, car and heavy equipment auctions, to corporate liquidations, a testament to his versatility and impact in the field.

A leader in the auctioneering community, Hoss previously served as the President of the Auctioneers Association of Canada and the Auctioneers Association of Ontario.
